TUI LAKES & MOUNTAINS

I was asked to commission a series of travel posters for TUI Lakes & Mountains. The posters were to be in the style of vintage travel posters but with a modern feel to them, weaving the TUI brand colours in but without allowing them to dictate the colour palette. Working with their brand guidelines and the illustration style of their characters I developed a style and colour schemes for the posters, that would evoke feelings of excitement about these travel destinations.
The illustrations are for use across TUI's print and digital marketing campaigns, with plans to make them into postcards, use them as images in printed layouts and use them across social media.
I used bright, clean colours that reflect the company's slogan 'Live Happy', using the vivid TUI red as highlights where appropriate.
Working with the design manager we selected scenes that reflected each destination well. I pieced together angles from multiple images that would make good compositions and also work with text on them or as background images for print layouts.
